Maor and Angelica bring together two different worlds into everything they create
As partners in both life and work, they find strength in their contrasts to make every design meaningful
MAOR AFLALO
Founder | Design Director | Project Lead
Maor Aflalo is an Israeli interior designer and founder of MONK, established in 2018 following his early career in graphic design.
His approach combines creative thinking with a strong sense of structure and practicality. Warm, direct, and highly intuitive, Maor has a natural ability to understand the needs of a project and navigate it's complexity. To translate challenges into clear considered solutions.
His design language reflects this same balance, grounded yet distinctive, with a strong connection to natural materials. The result is spaces with depth, character, and a clear sense of identity.
Maor remains personally involved throughout the projects he leads, maintaining a close connection between the initial vision, the design process, and its final execution.
ANGELICA MANZO
Co-Founder | Creative Director | Visual Artist
Angelica Manzo is a Mexican visual artist with a background in industrial design. She brings an artistic perspective to the studio and a strong sensitivity to how people experience a space.
Angelica has a natural ability to see the story behind a project. She works with the client’s vision and translates it into a clear visual direction that gives each space its own identity. Color, form and composition are an important part of her work. Her approach is expressive but considerate of the target market who will experience the space.
As a practicing artist, Angelica also brings art directly into the interiors she designs. She creates original pieces and develops artistic elements that become part of the architecture.
